OSS SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Description: The Systems Engineer role can be summarized as technical professional services delivery and fulfilment for a telecommunications software company. The role involves extensive travel and on-site customer facing work (upto 50%) and focuses on delivering professional services associated with the performance managementsoftware product. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of a minimum of 3 years in the service assurance software implementation and integration area and is a professional and independent worker. Experience with other commercially availableservice assurance software, especially with network performance management software systems, is mandatory for this role. Furthermore, the ideal candidate would be fluent in mobile operator technology domains such as radio access, mobile core, value addedplatforms, and transmission. Flexibility, quick learning, and a can-do attitude are a must have for this role. Description:*Assume responsibility for delivery of software introduction services, which include software deployment, configuration, integration, validation, and acceptance with our customers *Delivery of a wide range of professional services, including services such as KPI definitions, data reporting and visualization, data enrichment, software configuration, and floor-walking at customersites. *Contribute to interface software requirements specifications for different equipment vendors, ensuring that file formats and parsing problems, import keys, managed object class models, and general data modelling is accurate and in line with therequirements. *Strong analytical and software troubleshooting skills *Excellent interpersonal relationship building and customer facing skills Desired Experience: *Bachelors Degree or equivalent *Minimum of 3 years proven software implementationexperience with commercially available service performance management systems for telecommunication operators. Such systems include e.g. Nokia-Siemens GR and SPOTSs, Ericsson ENIQ, Huawei PRS, Cisco WEM, ALU NPO and SDC, IBM Metrica/TNPM, Aircom Optima, and so on. *Software system integration testing experience is a clear advantage. *Dedicated knowledge of data mediation engines, data loading, and parser definitions / functionality *UNIX administration experience, including power tools, shell / perl scripting *Database administration and usage is a clear advantage *Exposure to telecommunication operator related performance management KPIs, technology analysis, and reporting methods *Front-end usage experience is an advantage
