BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Description: The Company Our client is a Managed Services company that provides Total Facilities Management contracts fora number of prestigious clients in Government, Retail, Financial and Commercial Blue Chip sector. They are a financially solidorganisation that has grown significantly over the last 5 years due to the provision of excellent customer service. Due to expansion they are recruiting for a Business Development Manager based in the Manchester / North West area. The Role The purposeand remit of the Business Development Manager role:- * Development of new business * Identifying opportunities in the territory, taking the opportunity from initial contact to negotiating and closing the sale * Ensuring that contact is made at a senior level with key decision makers and that our client is added to the tender list for such contracts * Build a sales pipeline ofhigh value opportunities that will ensure that the sales target will be met for the year The Candidate The Business Development Manager skills and experience required:- * Commercially astute and have a proven track record in sales, ideally in the FMmarketplace incorporating one or all of the following:- Hard Services or Soft Services or M&E. * Ideally experienced selling contracts ranging in value from £500k to over £1 million+ in annualised contract revenue * Personal charisma - be able to identify potential business opportunities, be able to set up appointments at a senior level with those potential customers, and develop the opportunities to ensure that our client is added to the tender list, becomes the preferred supplier and is awarded thecontract * Team player, able to motivate internal staff to support sales initiatives and be able to share idea's and communicate and present solutions at Board Level and negotiate and close sales * Capable passionate and enthusiastic Business Development Manager with the will to win, who is tenacious especially when dealing with long sales cycles * Computer literate, organised,able to prioritise and deliver results The Reward In return, the Business Development Manager will receive an excellent remuneration salary of £55k - £60k basic plus uncapped OTE (20%) - many of the sales team earn over 6 figures. There is also a company pension and healthcare scheme and 25 days holiday.
