LEASEHOLD OFFICER - BERKSHIRE


Job duration:

Description: Leasehold officer required in Berkshire.

The successful candidate will be required to:

- Provide a comprehensive management service to leasehold residents and shared owners
- Ensure effective communication and consultation with the residents i.e. resident participation and group meetings
- Take the lead in inducting new residents into existing or new schemes
- Deal with sub-letting and first stage staircasing and resale enquiries- Work with others and ensure the delivery of an effective maintenance service to the residents, manage property services contracts (e.g. estate cleaning and gardening) and relevant scheme budgets
- Monitor rent and service charge accounts and take action to minimise legal action required
- Deal with ongoing leasehold management issues including complaint resolution, neighbourdisputes and nuisance, harassment and ASB

MUST HAVE :

- Experience of working within property management in a leaseholdand/or shared ownership department preferably within the public or private sector
- A sound knowledge of Section 20 legislation
- Clean drivers license and own transport means

Enhanced CRB advantageous.

Volunteering and work experience

Volunteering and gaining work experience in whatever type of work or context are very valuable experiences in terms of training and self-esteem.

  • Jobcentre Plus provides advice on finding voluntary work.
  • Millennium Volunteers, run by Department for Education and Skills, is aimed at young people aged 16-24. MV allows young people to build on their interests, to develop themselves and make a difference to their community at the same time. Through the course of their voluntary work, volunteers will gain valuable skills and experience that they can make use of in the workplace.
  • The National Council for Work Experience promotes, supports and develops quality work experience for the benefits of students, organisations and the economy. IT focuses these activities on students in further and higher education.
