The Vintage 30 resulted from Celestion’s early steps to preserve the tonal characteristics of vintage speakers while using contemporary materials and construction techniques.
Seemingly twice as loud as anything else at the same power level, the Vintage 30 handles massive overdrive sounds with ease. Tight bass, fat mids and a smooth, harmonically rich top end have made the Vintage 30 an excellent 4 x 12" loudspeaker. Of course, it’s also suitable for any other cab!
Our most revealing speaker, the Vintage 30 features enormously detailed and complex overtones, a warm low-end, a famously rich vocal mid-range and a beautifully detailed top-end. Used singly to reveal the complexities in hand-wired boutique amps, or in quartets for a wonderfully intricate vintage 3D crunch, the Vintage 30 sound has been captured on thousands of recordings from a diverse range of notable players including Slash, Steve Stevens and Peter Frampton. Many love this speaker for just this reason. Nobody could deny that one of the speaker’s most famous users, Slash, has a fantastic lead voice tone that the Vintage 30 definitely helps bring out!
For sale here is a Celestion Vintage 30 12" driver in mint condition. It has hardly been played and is just about broken in, nothing more. It has a nominal power handling of 60W and is rated 16 Ohm.
Only selling as it's the wrong impedance for my setup.
